Eastleigh is preparing for a Medieval makeover!

 

Eastleigh town centre will be celebrating all that is olde England on Saturday 20th May 11am-4pm.

The day will include live medieval re-enactments, falconry displays and juggling workshops at Leigh Road Recreational Ground. Enjoy free entertainment from the Wessex Ferret Club, indulge your inner Robin Hood with free have-a-go archery and music from the medieval minstrels.

Travel to days of dragons, spells and princesses with a medieval puppet show, hog roast, jesters, bouncy castle, petting farm and much more!

Take part in the Best Dressed Knight & Princess competition and you could be in with a chance of winning a fantastic prize! Registration for the fancy dress competition starts from 2pm in the Swan Centre with judging at 3pm- entry free.

GETTING THERE:

CAR:

Postcode for Satnav SO50 6LA (Leigh Road, The Point). Approach on M3. Exit at Junction 13 onto A335 signed Eastleigh. In ½ mile A335 turns right and becomes Leigh Road. Leigh Road Recreational Ground is in less than 1 mile on left hand side.

TRAIN:

Nearest Station is Eastleigh (South West Trains) – 3 minute walk (see below) from site.

ON FOOT:

From Eastleigh Station. Leave station and walk for 3 minutes down Leigh Road following pedestrian signs for The Point arts venue. Leigh Road Recreational Ground is on the right side of the road.
