Medieval Combat Society

The Medieval Combat Society was originally formed in 1970 and is a family orientated medieval re-enactment group. The object of the Society is to educate and entertain the public and generate an interest in medieval history. The society is based around the period of 1347 during the reign of Edward III.

We display a representation of a 14th century tournament with combat and archery. We also depict other elements of the period including dancing and a full living history tented village with cooking, trading and other medieval crafts and activities.
